Kenny Chery helped Baylor defeat in-state rival Texas on Saturday.
The senior guard scored a game-high 23 points, including 19 in the second half in the 83-60 romp.
Baylor opened the game on a 12-0 and never looked back. Texas rallied to cut the lead to 28-24, but the Bears managed to put a 11-3 run before the break. The second half was all Baylor.
Chery’s 23 points marked the 8th time this season that he’d scored in double figures.
The win was Baylor’s largest against Texas since March 5, 1988 when they won 84-60.
The Bears (16-5, 4-4 BIG 12) host TCU on Wednesday.
