It’s never easy to win at Ste-Foy or beat the same team three times in the same season. And for the first three quarters it looked as though Ste-Foy would remain undefeated at home and sweep the Vanier Cheetahs.
But the Cheetahs who came off a very successful Sun Youth Tournament had other plans. Vanier used a 27-12 fourth quarter rally to defeat Ste-Foy 77-71 and move in 3rd place in the RSEQ standing while Ste-Foy dropped to 5th.
Abdul Kamane posted a team high 24 points and 10 rebounds, and teammate Schneiders Suffrard added 23 points for Vanier.
Marc-André Fortin and Anthony Jasmin both scored 15 points to lead Ste-Foy.
The Dynamiques took control early. Up 20-15 after the first quarter, they extended the lead to 39-27 at the half. Ste-Foy took a 16 point lead with 7 minutes to play in the third quarter, and Vanier started its run. The Cheetahs were down 59-50 at the end of the 3rd period. The fourth was all Vanier. Ste-Foy could not find a way to halt the Cheetahs in the final period.

STE-FOY, QC
